Tell me more about the Ness telemedicine program
Ness is powered by the CareGLP™ platform by CareValidate Inc. CareGLP™ is a patient management platform that collaborates with independent physicians and practitioners providing services through the SOC2 and HIPAA Compliant Care360 platform. CareValidate Inc. does not directly offer medical or pharmacy services, and payment does not guarantee the prescription writing or dispensing process. Medical services are facilitated by independent providers. The information presented on this website is for informational purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have questions or concerns about your health, please consult with your primary care physician.
How do I start treatment?
Our goal is for you to have a comfortable and effective experience tailored to your desired results:
- Complete the intake questionnaire. Our licensed physican will use this information to prepare for your consultation, and may order screening tests to determine if treatment is right for you. (Screening tests are unlikely in the majority of customers but are sometimes needed based on prescription.)
- Our Ness physicians will review your intake form and determine if a telehealth consultation is needed.* Our doctor will review your chosen medication, determine if it best suits your health goals, and send your prescription to our pharmacy.
- Your prescription will be delivered to your home every 30, 60, or 90 days via our mail-order pharmacy provider.
*Please note that some states require a telehealth call.
What can I expect after I sign up?
After you complete your intake questionnaire, our doctors will review your answers and determine whether treatment may be right for you. If appropriate, you will be prescribed medication which will be shipped right from the pharmacy to your door.
Am I able to speak to a doctor once I submit my qualifying questionnaire?
Every questionnaire, including your monthly prescription renewal, is reviewed by a Ness Board Certified medical physician. Certain States however, require a telehealth consultation with one of our Ness doctors. In NM, KS, and AR, the first doctor meeting is required to be a video call. In AK, AL, LA, MN, MS, ND, NJ, OR, RI, SC, UT, VA, WA, WV, the first doctor meeting is required to be either a phone or video call. All other US states allow for your intake questionnaire to be reviewed electronically by our ActiveMD doctor. Your monthly prescription fee includes this review process.
If you have questions along your journey you will be able to contact us either via email: [email protected] or by calling 1 (888) 285-55251 to speak to one of our trained agents.
How long does it take to get approved for my prescription?
If your questionnaire is able to be viewed by one of our doctors electronically, the process is approximately 48 hrs. In the event a phone call or video call is requested/required by you or your state, you will be sent available dates and times to schedule your appointment. In this case, the process could be 5-7 days.
Will I be given my prescription to take to my pharmacy?
No. All prescriptions are generated by Ness physicians and fulfilled by our partner pharmacies. Medication is then shipped directly to you. An existing prescription is not required to participate.
When will my medication be delivered?
Once approved, your prescription is typically shipped within 5-7 days, ensuring a consistent monthly supply for uninterrupted treatment.
Is my personal information secure?
Yes. Your medical data and order history are strictly confidential and only accessible to our licensed healthcare professionals. Please review our Privacy Policy for more details.

GLP-1 Weight Loss
How do GLP-1's work?
GLP-1 medications like compounded semaglutide, Ozempic®, or Mounjaro® help regulate appetite and digestion by slowing down how quickly food leaves your stomach. This leads to longer-lasting fullness, reduced cravings, and improved blood sugar control, all of which support weight loss.
How do I take GLP-1 injection medication?
Our GLP-1 medication is administered as a once-weekly injection. Your prescription is delivered directly to your door and includes everything needed for a smooth experience—syringes, alcohol wipes, and clear instructions.
Please refer to our educational videos for How-To for guidance on subcutaneous injection. If you have any questions, our support team is available to assist you.
Is compounded GLP-1 medication FDA approved?
When a drug is in shortage, compounders can prepare a compounded version of that drug if they meet certain requirements in the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic (FD&C) Act.
You can check for drug shortages on the FDA website.
Pharmacies in the CareGLP network comply strictly with all the regulatory standards established by:
• State boards of pharmacy, which regulate all 503A pharmacies
• FDA, which has oversight for the safety of all active pharmaceutical ingredients
• DEA, that oversees the controlled substances sometimes used in compounded preparations
• USP Convention, that issues practice standards ensuring quality and safety of medications and food
• USP General Chapter <795> provides guidelines for the prevention of contamination and potency variance, preparation process, beyond-use dates, and stability for non-sterile compounding
Pharmacies in the CareGLP network run quality assurance and quality control checks for every batch of compounded semaglutide prescribed to patients.
Some of these steps include but are not limited to:
• Reviewing and confirming the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Certificate of Analysis for all semaglutide base lots, which are received from FDA-registered manufacturers;
• Storing the verified API frozen and sealed until use;
• Compounding with the API under aseptic processes to produce specific lots (vials);
• Holding the vials of compounded semaglutide in quarantine (representative samples are taken for testing);
• Using independent third-party laboratories to test the potency, sterility and endotoxicity of each lot of compounded semaglutide (among other criteria);
• Reviewing the results of these tests and, if satisfactory, releasing the validated vials from quarantine for dispensing;
• Assigning each compounded lot a unique lot number and BUD (Beyond Use Date), which is added to the container and is tracked electronically;
• Scanning the lot information on the product at the time of dispensing, which ties a particular lot number to the patient’s file.
