What is NAD+?
NAD+ stands for Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide. It’s a molecule that lives inside every single cell in your body and acts like a power source. Without it, your cells can’t make energy, repair damage, or communicate properly.
The problem is that by the time we’re 40, our NAD+ levels have dropped by nearly half compared to when we were young. By 60, they can be as low as 10–20% of what they once were. That drop is linked to fatigue, brain fog, slower recovery, and faster aging. Restoring NAD+ levels, helps your body get back to running at full power.
Which Format Is Right For You?
NAD+ is NAD+ not matter the format. The difference is how fast it gets into your body and how hands-on you want your routine to be.

What to Expect with NAD+
Results build over tim and timing varies depending on your format. Here’s a guide on what to expect.
Day 1-3
Cellular Jumpstart
Your cells are absorbing NAD+ and beginning to use it for energy and repair. This is most noticeable with the injection.
Weeks 1-2
Energy Lifts
Most people, especially injection and spray users, notice more sustained energy and better focus during the day.
Weeks 2-4
Mental Clarity
Thinking feels sharper, recall improves, and most people feel more productive. Tablet users typically start noticing changes here.
Months 2-3
Deep Repair
Physical recovery improves, sleep feels more restorative, and the anti-aging and immune benefits start in the background.
3+ Months
Full Optimization
All three formats reach their full potential with consistent use. Your body is running cleaner, repairing faster, and aging more slowly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does NAD+ work?
Every cell in your body needs energy to function and NAD+ is what makes that energy possible. It works by carrying electrons between molecules inside your cells, which is how your body converts food into usable fuel. But that’s just the start.
NAD+ also activates special proteins called sirtuins that repair damaged DNA, slow down aging, and reduce inflammation. Think of it like a key that unlocks your cells’ ability to fix themselves and run efficiently. When NAD+ levels are low, everything slows down: your energy drops, brain gets foggy, and your body can’t repair itself as well. Restoring your levels gives your cells the tools they need to work properly again.
How much does NAD+ cost?
NAD+ is available through Ness in three different formats:
- Injections: $175 a month
- Nasal Spray: $125 a month
- Oral Tablets: $225 a month
Your care team will find the right plan for you, and pricing may vary depending on your personal treatment needs.
How do I take NAD+?
It depends on which format your Ness clinician prescribes for you:
Injection: Given as a small subcutaneous injection, meaning just under the skin, usually in the belly or thigh. Most people find it quick and nearly painless. Please refer to our educational videos for How-To for guidance on subcutaneous injection.
Nasal Spray: Sprayed directly into each nostril as directed. Simple, fast, and easy to do anywhere. Your clinician will tell you how many sprays to use and how often.
Tablet: Taken by mouth once daily, typically in the morning. No preparation needed, just take it like any other daily supplement and let it build up in your system over time.
Your Ness clinician will recommend the right format and dosing based on your health goals and lifestyle. If you have any questions, our support team is available to assist you.
Is NAD+ safe and FDA-approved?
NAD+ is a molecule your body already produces naturally, it is not a foreign or synthetic substance. It has been studied extensively in clinical research and has a strong safety record across all three formats. While the FDA has not approved a specific NAD+ product for general wellness use, all three formats are legally available as compounded medications prepared by licensed U.S. pharmacies and prescribed by licensed physicians. The nasal spray and injection are compounded under strict pharmaceutical standards, and the tablet uses well-established, safe ingredients with a long track record in medicine.
At Ness, a licensed clinician reviews your health before prescribing and checks in with you throughout your treatment to make sure everything is working well for you.
